Dive-bombing

I was walking too close to this Snowy Owl male's nest in Barrow AK in 1975. He dive-bombed me. Fortunately I had learned that the best defense a Snowy Owl attack was a meter stick in my ruck ruck sack, projecting above my threatened scalp. This was a very big lemming year at Barrow, and thus there were many owl nests.
