In a big mole crab patch, the chasing almost never stops.
Prime season for this chasing is fall and early winter. By late winter , mole crabs of this size are fewer. But in April the stock is replenished as millions of post-larval mole crabs settle out of the ocean to begin their life on the beach. The newly settled crabs are so small they can be swallowed immediately.
