Black-bellied Plover dropped its prey temporarily
After grabbing the Emerita analoga out of the sand, it dropped it back down.
If you look at the top of the Emerita's carapace, you can see the two eyestalks. Immediately behind the Emerita, two eyestalks are poking out of the water from another Emerita. And just behind the plover's legs you can see two more pairs of eyestalks.
