They tend to face into the wind. And as they bathe they sooner or later jump up out of the bath and stretch their wings. These next several photographs illustrate this.
If you understand this you can get some amazing photographs. I learned this from Artie Morris at "BirdsAsArt.com" I knew about these behaviors but never tried to incorporate them into my photography, until I took a course from Artie.
