Escaped

This flock of Sanderling flew way eastward along Limantour Spit (Point Reyes CA) after the peregrine launched an unsuccessful attach. As the peregrine attacks, they take off in a tight, zig-zagging flock. By now, about 10 minutes after the attack, the flock has loosened and the sanderling are looking to land.
