Violet-green Swallow at Old Trail Golf Course Pond, about 1 mile SW of Crozet, VA. Taken at 11:23 26 March 2011 (you can see photo data by hovering over the upper right side of photo and then clicking on the i in the panel. This photo shows diagnostic features of V-g swallow very clearly, including white above eye, green back, white sides of rump and purple tail. The only manipulation of photo was cropping... no color changes or sharpening. This is true for all subsequent photos.
